The Brutality of Reality

The GOP and its core base have become detached from the facts and truth that tether us to reality. There is no alternative conclusion based on these events:

• The election of Donald Trump - an serial liar, abuser of women and a likely traitor to America
• The probable election of a man who is a reputed child molester to the US Senate
• The support of healthcare and tax policies completely destructive the interests of the vast majority of Americans
• Willful denial of how contraception works to leverage abortion as a means of political control
• Repeated assaults on science and the scientific method to justify authoritarian repression
• Continual attacks on the 1st Amendment and the freedom of the press to rationalize repression
• Denial of climate change that could end human existence on Earth

Why should we respect any of this? Reality is brutal and what is said here has no meaningful effect compared to the reality that will continue to crash upon us all.
