It's Tribalism Not Nationalism

The irony of the right’s “America First” agenda is how much it hurts America’s true interests at home and abroad by sacrificing our democratic norms and ideals. The conservatives do this to promote the power of the Republican party first and foremost and where no lie or corruption is too egregious as long as is serves the GOP’s interests. That is not nationalism but unalloyed tribalism.
