The World as it Comes to Us

One of the signature elements of a reasoned mind is the constant effort to adjust to the world as it is. One can then decide that the world should be changed but for that to happen the current reality must be acknowledged first.

Donald Trump seems to be willing to only partially accept our world; exploiting the parts he likes and shrewdly forcing others to accept the consequences of his rejecting the rest. Whether it be a discarded employee, a stiffed contractor, or betrayed loyal supporter, they all paid the tab for Trump when he changed the rules then skipped out on them to go cheat at another round of golf.  

What are we to do now that he is bringing humanity to the brink of nuclear war?
